The Big Picture

This mural was created by Alicia Rheal and Shannon Becker formerly known as The Painted Ladies.

The walls of Hanke's Super Valu on Reed Street now explode with color, celebrating the rich agricultural history of our area. The Painted Ladies of Madison, WI created this mural. Agriculture and art students at Wittenberg/Birnamwood High School brainstormed with the artists to plan the mural. A summer school art class joined the Painted Ladies in executing the mural. The Hanke family, past and present, greet you as does Floyd Doering, a leader in the FFA locally, in the state and nationally. This was completed in the summer of 2007.
