Ka-Boom!!!
When WOW showed me the building on Webb Street and told me they wanted a mural depicting Wittenberg’s love for fireworks, I immediately envisioned the entire building turned into the night sky of the Fourth of July. Of course, if you’re going to have fireworks, you have to have a crowd of people watching them! The three garage doors with their rows of windows, brought an added challenge. I felt that by covering the entire building with a deep blue and putting the crowd in front, the doors and windows would in effect, disappear. It seems to have worked even better than I imagined. A special thanks to Andy Goretski for his assistance and especially for doing such a fantastic job painting all the flags. This has been a fun mural to paint and I am glad to be the one that has made every day the Fourth of July in downtown Wittenberg!
