The Big Picture

This mural was created by Alicia Rheal and Shannon Becker.

The walls of the former Hanke's Super Valu on Reed Street (now a laundromat) explode with color, celebrating the rich agricultural history of our area. The Painted Ladies of Madison, WI created this mural. Agriculture and art students at Wittenberg/Birnamwood High School brainstormed with the artists to plan the mural. A summer school art class joined the Painted Ladies in executing the mural. The Hanke family, past and present, greet you as does Floyd Doering, a leader in the FFA locally, in the state and nationally. This was completed in the summer of 2007.
